Bruce Nasmith is a composer, music director, session player, educator and freelance multi- instrumentalist musician. He has been the Music Director at Armour Heights Presbyterian Church in North York since returning from Australia in 1991. Previously Bruce was employed as a Lecturer in Music by the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts from 1987 until 1991. Bruce also taught piano for the Royal Conservatory of Music, University of Toronto, from 1980 until 1984. Bruce is also the Music Director, keyboardist and one of the singer/guitarists for www.onesshow.com which has been performing throughout Ontario since 2015 culminating in a show at The Meridian Hall in Toronto Dec. 7th 2019. He has composed film music, songs and numerous instrumental and choral works. On 12/12/12, he gave an album launch concert debuting his twelve impressionist compositions for classical guitar which are called "The Twelve Months". This album is available on iTunes and hard copies are also available on CD. Currently Bruce teaches classical and popular style on a variety of instruments. Bruce is also an experienced adjudicator and while in Australia adjudicated the Busselton Music Festival in Western Australia in 1987, 1988, and 1989. He has also been an adjudicator for the Pickering Rotary Music Festival in past years. His passion and enthusiasm are infectious and Bruce has and continues to inspire and encourage blossoming musicians.
